Happily a "mountain girl," Tonya has called Colorado her home for three decades. Originally from Minnesota's lake country, her B.A. in English Writing and Communication prompted a semi-long career as an award-winning journalist, which culminated as managing editor of Colorado Mountain News Media's Sky-Hi News. Tonya pivoted to helping with administration at M.A. in 2014. Scott and Tonya enjoy raising their daughter Ashlyn, son Zayden and dog Vyska in Grand Lake, and Tonya finds joy telemark skiing, practicing yoga, or mom things like chauffeuring kids and Sherpa-ing backpacks or groceries.
